FAQ

+ What should I expect from Peak?

Peak is always working to match exceptional candidates like you with great opportunities. Here is what you can expect from Peak as we move forward:

  • Respect - As we are helping individuals like you find the right job, you can expect us to treat you with respect and dignity.
  • Honesty - We are consistently communicating with our clients to make sure that we are screening applicants correctly for each of our open positions. You can expect us to be honest with you when it comes to your potential for a role or where you are in the search process with specific clients.
  • Consistency of effort - Beyond our normal hours of operation, know that we are putting in many more hours helping our clients get the personnel they require. You can expect us to be putting in a tremendous and consistent amount of effort when it comes to assisting our candidates in finding a job.

+ What does PEak Expect from Me?

We know that all of our applicants are anxious to hear any results. Please know that we are dedicated to finding you a job. Here are some things we expect from you:

  • Respect - We know that the job search can be scary and stressful, even when you decide to work with an agency like Peak. While we are understanding of the anxiety or fears, we still expect you to be respectful to each of our team members, clients, coworkers, and all those you encounter.
  • Time - It takes time to screen resumes, set up interviews, communicate with clients, and spark the hiring process. Please know that periods of silence do not mean you are forgotten, but rather that we are busy setting up success stories. Time is our greatest resource.
  • Communication - As a Peak Candidate, we hope you know that you should contact us with any concerns, comments, or questions. However, please know that each phone call and email regarding the status of your application slows the process of finding you, and dozens of other candidates, a job. We expect you to use the available means of digital communication, like the Contact Us Form or the Report Availability Form when you have these questions or concerns. We also expect you to honestly communicate your availability and if you will be on time to scheduled interviews and meetings.

+ What type of workforce support does Peak provide clientele?

  • Temporary: This is the contingent solution for our clients who are looking for immediate help. This includes seasonal workers and individuals to fill in for peak periods, special projects, increases in production, or to cover vacation, leave of absence, etc. This option helps clients save on many hiring costs and provides talent the opportunity to become well-rounded through direct exposure to diverse types of work.
  • Temporary to Hire: This option allows employers to observe our employees for a trial period before placing them on their regular payroll. Employers witness first-hand a candidate's communication style, work ethic, and overall personality before making them a part of their organization.
  • Direct-Hire: This solution helps organizations looking to fill a long-term role within their organization but may struggle for time and resources to do a hard talent search on their own. Peak helps those organizations find the right-fit talent they demand right now! Our staff will work with you to understand your business goals, dynamics, and culture to ensure you the individuals you hire will make a difference DAY 1.
  • Executive Search: Peak is well known nationwide for our expertise in assisting businesses of every size and scope to build superior leadership teams. Our Big 5 to Thrive Assessment and other proprietary tools help organizations secure the best fit for C-level and VP-level roles. We expedite the hiring process and secure the best available talent to meet modern business demands.
  • Contract: Some business tends to outsource work or need to add to an already existing team for large projects / out of town work, etc. Peak assists by creating a conduit to skilled personnel all while adding additional peace of mind as payroll requirements expand.

+ What is Peak's reach?

Our reach is nationwide, with the bulk of our placements being made in the CSRA and Southeast. Our corporate office is here in Augusta, GA. We are not a franchise, we are more of a boutique agency, representing every scope and size of employer, more specifically those who demand a higher caliber of candidate and relationship.

+ Am I represented by PEAK or is PEAK working for the employers?

Both. We represent a match-making process between the employer and the temporary/career candidate. We represent you, the candidate, during the introduction, interview and offer phase. We work diligently to ensure you are seen by those in the market for great talent, and also negotiate compensation and benefits offers to meet each specific talent's work/career goals. Employers pay the fee for our services, so we endeavor to exceed stringent talent and performance guidelines to ensure the top employers in our service areas have total faith in the candidates we provide.

+ What are my next steps?

Here are the next steps in your pre-application process with Peak:

  • Our recruiters will receive and review your pre-application.
  • Our recruiters will review our current openings and see if your experience, desired compensation, and availability match open opportunities.
  • If your application matches our current openings, we will call you to schedule a time for you to come in and meet individually with one of our solutions specialists. When you do come in for an interview, please come alone, as we are limiting the number of visitors we allow in the office at one time.
  • When you arrive for an interview, we will review your resume or work history and ask you more questions to determine your match to various assignments.
  • If your application matches a job and you have expressed the desire to work on that assignment, we will send your information to our clients for their review.
  • If our client chooses, we will call you to either schedule an in-person or digital interview with the client or with a job offer, depending on the circumstance.
  • If you impress the client with an awesome interview, they will let us know if there is a job offer on the table for you. Then, we will communicate this to you.
  • Once you are given a job offer, you may accept or refuse it. We encourage you to be honest in your answers with us as we'd only want you to go to accept a position if you want it.
  • If you accept the offer of employment, we will contact you to complete any necessary paperwork for the client and give you more instruction regarding the position, the client, and their expectations.
  • Finally - you report to work on time, in the correct attire, with a great attitude, and you achieve success!

Resume Creation + Fine tuning

Peak has taken advanced courses in today’s resume writing strategies and can teach you the latest tactics for wording, formatting, and organization of information, helping ensure that your resume stands out.

In contrast to a chronological resume, a strengths-based resume emphasizes and focuses on how the strengths of the applicant are relevant for a certain job. It lists a person’s job qualifications in strength categories, rather than the standard approach of using reverse chronological work experience categories.

Writing a strengths-based resume can help you present yourself to potential employers in a more powerful way than a chronological resume would.

How We’re Different From The Other Agencies You’ve Applied With
